Celebrating American Manufacturing in October

October is an important month for those of us in the industrial sector, as it is designated as Manufacturing Month. October 2nd was the official Manufacturing Day, but engagement continues throughout the full month. Here in Minnesota, a number of activities and tours were set up across the state to promote the role of manufacturing in the U.S. economy and to show the public how valuable this field is for American workers, and consumers.

From October 1-10th, Minnesota Manufacturing Week brought together many organizations that all sought to increase the visibility of manufacturing by hosting facility tours. The tours were all free to host and free to attend. The event was brought to life thanks to the efforts of Dream It. Do It. Minnesota, and sponsors ranged from Tri-State Manufacturers’ Association, to the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association, the Manufacturing Institute, and many other regional and national groups who all have a central mission to advance manufacturing.

Here at Von Ruden Manufacturing, we’ve been designing and producing drive components in the United States for nearly 70 years. Since getting our start in 1946, our product line has grown considerably, but we have maintained a strong commitment to the U.S. industrial environment, and are currently the only full line American manufacturer of driven tooling. We work hard to ensure the competitiveness of this nation, and are proud to support American manufacturing this month, and all months.
