Von Ruden Rol-Seal motors are in use on a hi-tech track drive application that is really down and dirty. Required was the ability to mount a customer supplied sensor that would generate a specific number of pulses needed for speed control which required that number of pulses points on a gear or shaft.
However, the same customer required a completely enclosed and dry cavity to mount their sensors as well as the capability to connect heavy duty cable to the motor and run the sensor leads inside protecting them from typical construction site debris passing by the motor mounted on the tracks.
 Von Ruden designed a special rear cover plate for the Rol-Seal motor which filled the customer's need and allowed different pulse points to be supplied as required by the processor on different systems and machines.
